Happy Friday friends.

If you’re like me, you’re feeling like fall. Chunky sweaters, short boots in my online shopping carts and man, I can’t get enough of everything pumpkin.
Last week I made a quick trip to NYC, Brooklyn to be exact, where we walked the town with cameras in hand taking photos with the small group attending the NYC Click Retreat.
If you haven’t experienced fall in NYC, it’s something to put on your bucket list stat.
Big thanks to AirBnB who housed our group in this amazing loft owned by the incredible Shell. Totally homey for a 5,000 square foot space. Yes, we all had dreamy bedrooms with super cool bedside lighting. Just take a look at the photos.
Blurb Books sponsored me for Click Retreat (thanks Blurb!) and their walking tour with 3 professional photographers was one of the highlights. I don’t know that any of their expertise rubbed off, but maybe one day.
Here’s a few shots to remember it by (all shot on my iPhone 6 and edited with VSCOcam S2 preset / Bright and Clean filter.)
FoodieCrush in Print?
Speaking of Blurb, I’m thinking of releasing FoodieCrush magazine in print. Would you be interested in buying a print version? What would be a reasonable price for someone like you? Please share in the comments below.

This week we had the latest celebrity baby announcement (brace yourself Twitter), a civil democratic debate (no more talk of e-mail servers, FINALLY!) and it’s official: Taylor rules the world.
Here’s what else might be happening in your world.
These no-bake sweets would be super cute for Halloween.
But wait. These cookies are just too cute and even my lame decorating skills could probably pull them off.
Generally I’m not a fan of caramel apples, but these were THE BOMB!

The perfect burger, according to them.
Healthy breakfast cookies? I’m in!
After several scheduled attempts, this week my husband was in the hospital for a hip replacement. Unreal how quickly he was in and out and is now on the mend. Only 8 more weeks of him gimping around the house as my sous chef. He may never go back to work. Either that, or he will really, really want to. Hey, it could go either way.
Smudge had to selfie it out, naturally. I love this photo.
And naturally, I had to make him Chicken Noodle Matzo Ball Soup. It’s our go-to-get-better-meal. Get the recipe here.
I met and spent a lot of time at the Click Retreat with this Instagrammer. If you don’t follow her yet, get prepared to be inspired and give out a lot of, “Awwww, that is adorable”-s.
And this Instagram gal too. What a life she leads! Magazine editor, travel blogger and she gets to meet every single actor on Nashville. I could live in her totally fashionable, jet setting shoes.
While on the airplane to NYC, I noticed my row mate playing this game on her iPhone. Do you have it? I do now and it’s kind of addicting.

Because here’s the proof that multi-tasking isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.
As I was moving into week 2 of adding yet more decorations, my mother in law looked at me quizically and asked if we were going to have a Halloween party. “Um, no. I’m just decorating.”
I may have to rethink that so I can amp it up with some of these 19 clever Halloween party decorating DIYs. I LOVE those spider pods!

We’re going to a Halloween party and I’m totally taking these as my foodie contribution.

I’ve had the best experiences with AirBnb–it’s the best for places like NYC and Boston!

Ahh New York in the Fall! Looks amazing, what a fun trip! Thanks for sharing my pumpkin muffins :)
Phi @ The Sweetphi Blog
Love the photos of NY. I’d definitely be interested in a print version of the foodiecrush magazine…pricing is always so difficult…it would really depend on how much info was in it- etc. I’d say somewhere within the $6-$12 range.
Off to check out the rest of the links :) Happy Friday
Hello Phi! NYC is always an experience, no matter how you slice it :) Thanks for the word on the mag, very helpful to share your ideas with me! Have a great weekend.

Hi Heidi, love the idea of a magazine. I just paid $10 apiece for two the other day. I love being able to have the recipe in print; I have so many on Pinterest that it is sometimes difficult to find what I saw a day or two previously and saved. It’s also easier for me to read a recipe that I have secured with a magnet to my vent hood instead of bending over to read my ipad (I’m 6’2″). Keep it up, love reading your blog.
Thanks for your input on the magazine. I’ll be updating you as we progress!
