Hello there, friends! Look at this. We’ve already arrived at another Friday Faves. Seriously, where does the time go?
In This Post
And my tomatoes! They’re just about gone, too. So I’m cherishing every last one of them. With big bites of burrata recipes like this one, of course.
Last week was a bit of a whirlwind because I was in South Carolina seeing the sights and hearing the ocean sounds of Myrtle Beach. I have a lot to share so that will be a post all on its own coming up very soon. I was on a quest to discover the BEST shrimp & grits. Did I succeed in finding a recipe to share with ya’ll? You will just have to wait and see!
A week away from my office/kitchen/metalworkspace/life meant this week was fully focused on catching up. I really wish I’d followed #1 of these 10 tips here before I left. Oh well. There’s always next week.
I’ve been hard at work finishing up a super cool new project launching at the end of the month and I’m almost afraid to share it with you because it will mean it’s really happening. But I can’t wait to share all of the details with you, too.
What I can tell you now about this new project is it merges my obsession with planning and plotting my life with planning and plotting my goals for my best health ever. I’m hoping you’ll be inspired to join me. Eeek! The countdown is on!
Of course with every new project there never seems to be enough time and I’m getting down to the wire. So today I won’t wax on about this and that and the other stuff going on in my life. Although I gotta tell you, Smudge made the junior high school soccer team and we are so happy for her! Huge sigh of relief for this soccer mom.
But enough about me, let’s dive into this week’s list of Friday Faves! Happy weekending everyone!
This video…not much more to say than, “TRUTH!”
Love this inspiring list of 2016’s most innovative women in food and drink.

If you like jam, you’ll LOVE this.
I love that a 16 year old had the fortitude to create this app that takes the bullying out of being left out of the group and left to eat lunch alone. Kudos all around!!
Dying to make these ever since spying them on Instagram. (Click here for the recipe.)
And speaking of pumpkin…
Behold, 65 pumpkin spice foods that have no business being pumpkin spiced. I’ve gotta agree with this list — I love pumpkin but totally think we go a little too bonkers for pumpkin-spicifying EVERYTHING under the sun. Thoughts?
All right Candy Corn lovers, would you dare to try this flavor?
Here’s the first look at Martha and Snoop Dog’s new series. Yes, I am serious.

I used to have houseplants in every corner. Then, about 10 years ago I got rid of them all. This past year, I’ve totally hopped back on the green thumb train, especially working with succulents. And now I want more green in mu life, ergo, how to pick the perfect house plant.
Check out Kate Spade’s NYC apartment. Every bit as Kate Spade-ish as you’d hoped it would be.
A comprehensive guide to all the new TV shows you need to watch this fall (who else is as excited for this Gilmore Girls revival as I am?!)

OMG. This 2-year old channeling Ethyl Merman is HILARIOUS! Watch out Taylor Swift, you have competition.
My office is still a disaster. I’ve found office inspiration thanks to these 5 tips, and then I did some retail therapy and bought these new accessories:
I LOVE this to organize the files on my desk (even though it’s a magazine holder).
This adorable stapler (it comes in white and gold, too).
And this tape dispenser tinged with a touch of gold.
Crushing so hard on these shoes, and they’re on sale! How fierce are they?
This chambray shirt dress is a great transition piece for end of summer/early fall (who am I kidding, it would be perfect for the spring too)!
And I just added this fig-colored blouse to my shopping cart…
Recently discovered these candles and am obsessed. I thinking I need this scent for my kitchen this fall…
Recipes I Pinned This Week
So much good stuff to transition from summer to fall this week on my Pin boards. Here are three end-of-summer recipes I’ve pinned, to end this season with a bang, and I think you should pin them too.
Frida’s Mule Cocktail
Spicy, smoky, and tart — the perfect trifecta for an end of summer cocktail, if you ask me.
Grilled Peach and Bacon Salad with Buttermilk Dressing
Grilled peaches and bacon…need I honestly say more?
Grilled Chilean Beef Skewers with Smokey Chimichurri
Give me these succulent looking kabobs, a tall glass of red wine, and the patio, and I’m one happy gal.
