Hello and happy Friday!
OMG, it’s sooo spring! Finally! Warm weather! Well, in half the country anyway. I don’t know if it’s cyclical or not, but it feels like we are getting winter weather later and later every year. Here in Utah, the rule of thumb is to avoid planting annuals or tender vittles before Mother’s Day because even though it’s warm, Utah weather is bipolar. That’s why I will stick to only planting my cool crops like arugula and lettuce, then just bide my time for the summer blooms.
Last week’s Easter dinner was at my sister’s house where she kept it simple and delicious with glazed ham, my cheesy scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, and fluffy buttery rolls. I brought the BEST carrot cake which was devoured by all. It was all so good and fun to eat on my grandma’s china. (BTW, you can find discontinued china patterns here.)
With that, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves.
