Hello, my friend, hello (sing in tune with Neil Diamond).
I’m not gonna lie…School for the kiddos started this week and I am 100% happy that I am not part of the contingency. It always comes waaaayyy too fast! I mean, there’s still a whole two weeks of official summer so why do we have to rush things? Smudge has a month to go before college starts and I’m soaking up all of the moments we have together before she leaves me again. As she becomes her own adult, these goodbyes will be fewer and farther between. For THAT, I am NOT 100% happy. But, whatcha gonna do about it? Just give ’em wings and enjoy.
This week we made a classic, and I mean CLASSIC summer dinner. BBQ baby back ribs. Corn on the cob. Mac salad. Seriously. It cured so many summer eats cravings and I’m still licking my fingers in happiness.
With that, let’s break into this week’s list of finger-lickin’ good Friday Faves.
