Hello and happy Friday!
Today is Veteran’s Day, the day we honor military men and women who have put our country first and served in the US armed forces. Each year on Veteran’s Day, two veterans post flags on the overpass near our house, saluting the traffic driving by below. It warms my heart each and every year and reminds me how grateful I am. Thanks to veterans like them, we’re able to thrive in the freedoms so many in the world can’t. Here are 5 meaningful ways to celebrate our veterans.
If you aren’t making pizza at home, are you even living? While at our cabin, we made individual pizzas for dinner but I forgot to bring our pizza stone. Ah, but not to be deterred! We still enjoyed a tasty crust when I took inspo from this pizza recipe. I preheated a dry skillet in a 500°F oven for 5-10 minutes, then added a few swirls of oil to the piping hot skillet and plopped my pizza inside. I baked it at 500°F until it was a bronzed beauty with perfectly crisped crust. There’s more than one way to crack an egg.
