Hello friendlies! It’s Friday Faves!

It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, comfort food like these homemade meatballs and tomato sauce are ALWAYS in season. They’re so amazingly tender because they’re cooked directly in the sauce instead of being fried or baked before, and the bit of mint (yes, mint!) adds a hint of spring.
Spotify announced its top 10 all-time most-streamed artists. Did your fave make the cut?

Have you been polishing your mahjong game? My friend sent me this online site with four different versions to practice my skills. And it’s free, so even better.
My husband is obsessed with keeping his sunglasses clean and buys these wipes to do the duty. I like them because they’re individually packaged, and when you open the package, they’re never dried out.
This summer is going to be a drought-riddled, hot one. We live on the bench of the Wasatch mountains, and heaven forbid, I can totally see another Pacific Palisades fire event happening here. That’s why my weekend list includes making an inventory video of our home and possessions in case it’s ever needed for insurance purposes.
Have you tried the 5-4-3-2-1 grocery trick yet?
Oh my, if you like sushi and you like tacos, these babies are screaming your name.

A few things I picked up this week:
- This weekender bag is surprisingly well-made for the price, and so much cheaper than those trendier ones I see everywhere. I couldn’t resist.
- I am bound and determined to keep those pesky wasps at bay this summer, so I bought this wasp and hornet trap and these bamboo lantern-looking trap sticks. I’m going full metal jacket on the buggers.
- I bought two of these rechargeable lamps for al fresco after-dark outdoor dining since our dinners always end up running longer than we think they will :).
- Back in the day, I wore V-neck t-shirts all summer long. Guess what? They’re back (and on sale).
- I re-ordered my very most favorite hand cream that I’ve shared here before, several times. I’m telling you, it’s my fave! I actually ordered three tubes, so I have one for my bedside, one for my car, and one for the kitchen. I’m a forever fan.
- I had to stop myself from buying this mesh tote because I already have way too many. But for $10, it was hard to resist! Naturally, I was drawn to the minimalist black, but the leopard print was pretty fun.
10 spring trends to know this season. I especially like #3’s neckline and #8, which is giving all the Flashdance feels.
This scoop-neck top reminds me of one I had and loved about 30 years ago. Time to add it back to the rotation.
My mom was the best seamstress. In fact, she won the Miss Utah State University beauty contest by sewing an entire wardrobe and modeling it as her talent. Sadly, I did not inherit her talent but I did love sewing some basics. I discovered this mobbed-out sewing machine while wandering the Costco aisles, and wow! It’s an upgrade in style! So if you’re in the market, take a look at the Amazon link above, or at Costco, where a similar style is $50 less. On Amazon, it comes in pink too!
I’m planning a few international trips this summer and fall, and I’m planning on packing smart! The ultimate international trip packing list.
A 7-day reset to transform your energy levels.
