Hello hello and happy Friday.
Whew! We made it to the end of the week—barely. But brace yourself, it doesn’t look like our typical weekly flow will be back anytime soon.
Everyone is on high alert and plagued with uncertainty as the C.V.19 becomes more prevalent. It’s all anyone can talk about in social situations—nope, I’m not hibernating yet but I am social distancing—and it’s all one can do to find something else going on in the news.
So far, this is the best article I’ve read on the virus, what it means, and the case for extreme social distancing.
I plan on supporting my local businesses and neighbors the best I can. We must all soldier on, find the positive in the small moments, eat healthily with what’s on hand (like my Med stuffed avo/Vietnamese noodle dish in the pic above) and keep living our lives with smart changes in our daily habits to keep us all safe.
I, for one, have been WAY more diligent about washing my hands. If nothing else, this whole experience is going to turn me into a bona fide germophobe.

But you guys didn’t come to see the same news regurgitated here. So let’s escape for a minute and dig into this week’s Friday Faves.

Okay, so about a month ago our garage door broke. While trying to lift it with my husband, I strained my back and it’s been bugging me ever since. At least that’s what I’m blaming it on instead of aging. Anyway, these patches + stretching have been the only thing that have given me relief so I recommend them for your pain in the neck (or back, or whatever.)

Heidi, I have a stack of patches that I’ve used for a while – basically rotating the stack. Recently I noticed some patches on Amazon called Trio that are hemp oil patches. They’re expense for this old woman, but I tried the small pack of 6. The first night – not much. Second night I slept like a log. Same on night 3 and 4. Night 5 wasn’t good or bad and I have one left that I’m saving. Check it out and see what you think. I’d order more, but circumstances keep me from it, but I want to. For 3 years I’ve had this issue. Your local acupuncturist is a good place to go. Read about the hemp, though. (I ordered several packages of yours, so thanks)

Thanks for the ideas Susan!
