Happy Friday, friends!
I hope your 4th of July was a safe and wonderful one and you got exactly what you wanted out of it. Especially hoping that included lots of good eats.
What was on our table? Baby back BBQ Ribs. The Best BBQ Baked Beans. Classic Macaroni Salad. Watermelon and Avocado with Arugula Salad. Sweet Sweet Corn. Can I just get a high five on all the classics?
If you’re like me, you’re wondering how in the heck we can possibly already be half way through the year. Yes, I know! I can’t believe it either. July 1 marked the leeward side of 2017. While some might realize this and think, “Oh man! It’s all down hill from here,” it’s absolutely not.
This week I’ve been working on updating our new edition of the 2018 Nourished Planner, so I’ve had reflecting and projecting on the brain. And for the past couple of years, I’ve used the mid-year point to step back, and look back, and then take a look forward. It’s my time to reflect on the goals I set out for myself at the beginning of the year and to objectively look at where the rest of 2017 is headed. Whether it’s personal or professional goals, or even my summer bucket list, I can adjust my sails and plan any changes I need to make to get back on track (this post has some helpful tips), or if we want to continue with this odd sailing analogy, pivot, adjust and start sailing back on course again.
Man, I can be so cheesy sometimes.
