Hello, and happy Friday friends!

Happy summer. Happy summer solstice. It’s official, summer has arrived and word on the street is that yesterday was the longest day of the year. I have two comments about that.

First off…Aren’t all of the days of the year the same 24 hours? Maybe a re-phrase would be more appropriate. Longest LIT day of the year? Because as the kids say, summer IS totally “lit”.

Secondly…”Why is the first day of summer the start of our slow turn back towards winter?” My friend Andrew posted this on his Instagram account, and sadly I feel the same way. It’s like when it’s Friday night and I start lamenting over the fact we only have 2 more days before the dreaded Monday comes round again, instead of thinking, “Oh yea! Two whole days of the weekend to enjoy!”

I gotta change that. I’m working on it, but old mindsets are sometimes hard to break.

I’ve been home a full week now from a my bout of busy travel, and I’ve slipped right back into my regular ways. It almost feels like I never left. It all seems like a hazy dream and 7 days seems so long ago. I don’t know if that’s a normal thing, or if it’s simply because I have such a terrible memory. Like I tell people, you can always share your secrets with me because there’s a 99% chance I’m never going to remember them anyway.

But enough about me, let’s get into this week’s list of Friday Faves, and get that weekend rolling.
