Hello and happy Friday, the 3-day weekend edition!
Who else is looking forward to a wonderful, wanderlust Memorial Day weekend ahead? There’s so much to look forward to this summer, and today is the shotgun start to a great summer ahead. Even though technically summer doesn’t begin ’til June 20 (my dearly departed big Daddio’s birthday), I’m calling it — summer starts now! Pool days with the smell of sunscreen, juicy burgers with extra pickles and my husband’s fave potato salad (as evidenced above), after dinner walks during at sunset, juicy tomatoes ripening on the vine — girl, I am ready! Who else is joining me?
And let’s not forget the real meaning of Memorial Day, to commemorate and honor those who gave so much for each and every American’s freedom. Salute!
Wow, the winners of this Milky Way photo contest are absolutely incredible and something to behold. Is it real or is it AI? Hard to tell these days!

We hear it over and over again, “Drink more water!”, especially now it’s getting warmer:
- 3 ways to elevate your hydration game.
- I like this stainless steel water bottle (with stainless straw) that easily fits in my car cup holder and looks good, too.
- We have a hard time getting my mom to drink water during the day, but ever since we supplemented her cup with these sugar-free berry electrolytes, she’s been chugging like a champ.
