Hello and say hey to Friday!
My husband knows me, and he knows how to make his girl happy. He makes my morning coffee and draws my nightly tub. Last week he surprised me with a yard sale lawn mower I’d eyed while running errands (a Craftsman! IYKYK!) so I can mow the weeds at our cabin. He then surprised me with the delivery of these shoes I mentioned I wanted to order, because if he gets the opp to purchase a pair of shoes, especially for himself, he is ON IT. Imelda Marcos, watch out. Even after all these years (a LOT of years), we take care of each other in our own big and little ways, ways that could be added to these 6 ways to keep the spark alive. So this week with my man down for the count with a horrid bout of bronchitis, I did what he loves best: I made my man soup, soup, and more soup. Next to shoes and golf and music (see #6 in the link above) there’s not much he loves more. Okay, add me and our Smudge to the list and he’s golden. This is just your weekly TedTalk reminder that being grateful and showing it to the one you love shouldn’t only be on Valentine’s Day or anniversaries. Show up and show them every day.
With that, let’s check this week’s Friday Faves. Happy weekend!
