Hello friends and happy Friday.
Like nearly everyone around the world, my heart is absolutely breaking for Ukraine and that’s why I related oh-too closely to this excerpt from Watching the War Won’t Stop It: “Many of us are experiencing a kind of learned helplessness when it comes to the war in Ukraine. We can’t do anything to stop the suffering, or so it seems, yet we can’t stop following the grim news.“
Here’s how home cooks are supporting Ukranians right now—and how you can too.
Proud to learn my Utah Jazz are donating more than 32,000 nights of lodging with Airbnb for Ukranian refugees, and more people all over the world are booking Airbnbs to those seeking refuge. Here’s how you can help.

I’m pretty psyched for all the yummy Irish food I get to eat next week, with my corned beef and cabbage and stout brownies coming in at the top of the list. I’m thinking I should add this classic, creamy, buttery potato dish to the menu too.
