Hello and happy Friday!
One day past Thanksgiving and one more month of 2020 to go. I’m guessing it’s highly likely we’re ALL ready to say SEE YA to 2020 and move into a fresh start with a new year.
But until then, let’s dig in and find the joy of the season—masked and with plenty of hand sanitizer. This is the season of empathy, to think of others before ourselves. So how about we all do our part and mask up so that our health care workers can do their part safely and sanely, and we all live to see next Christmas, too.
Don’t temp Father Time. Don’t be a jerk. Wear a mask.
This year’s holiday will be a simpler one for everyone, and I am going to see that as a positive and take full advantage of it.
This Christmas season I’m going to put less pressure on myself to do it all.
- Less will be more.
- Simple will be my motto.
- Fun will be my thing.
- Grateful will be my swag.
- My goals to do more will be replaced by sitting things out.
- And I’ll be okay with that.
Here’s to a season of permitting ourselves to stop trying to be the be-all, end-all. This year has been rough enough. We’ve been tested. So to finish the year out, how about we all just “be.”
But first, let’s take a look at this week’s Friday Faves. Thanks for being here.
I’m seeing SO MANY blogger gift guides this year that it’s a little overwhelming. Do you want to see my list of this year’s favorite things/gift ideas, or are we over it since Friday Faves is like a whole year of gift guides? :)

Friday Faves is a getaway for people. At least it is for me. Enough with the mask preaching! We are 9 months in to this. We know the protocol. Your readership TOTALLY understands it already.
