Hello and happy Friday!
Wow, what a week in the news! If I wasn’t attached to my phone’s news feed before, this week has turned me into a checker for sure. Between the rapid-fire ins and outs of the political field to the evolving crisis of the Corona virus, everything that lies just outside the radius of my little circle feels in flux.
So many questions. Do I make travel plans or stay home? Invest in the stock market or hold tight? Shake hands or tap heels? It’s just so much.
Knowing there isn’t much I can do at this stage (however I 100% cast my vote!), I’m taking it all in with a realistic lens and keeping.things.chill. I’m washing my hands, I have food on hand, and I’m trying to keep a sense of humor about the political gaffes I can only laugh about or else I might cry—with both horror and humor and probably at the same time.
That’s why this weekend I’m taking a hard left from panic and celebrating daylight savings time (could it be for the last time?) by taking my extra hour to soothe my senses with some good old fashioned baking. I haven’t decided yet what I’ll be kneading or taste testing before baking, but it will be either sweet or savory and definitely comforting.
But enough about all that, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves!
See! Proof we CAN ALL GET ALONG! The cutest thing ever caught on video.
And this is why you should rescue a dog. Love. And my eyes are leaking a bit now. Damn dogs :).

Hate to break it to ya, but we set our clocks forward for spring daylight saving time…so we lose, not gain an hour

I’m sorry to break it to you but you don’t get an extra hour this weekend, we actually lose an hour. Spring forward. On the bright side, it will be lighter later!
