How about that, my friends! It’s Friday, and definitely a weekend to celebrate.
In This Post
The festivities this week have been in full force with all the guac, tacos and burritos you can shake a piñata stick at. And we aren’t slowing down yet.
Unless you’ve had your head burrowed in the sand, or maybe haven’t been seen one of the 9,234 televeision ads by the big name makers 🎵 every kiss begins with K 🎵 on permanent repeat for those last-minute-children-of-beloved-mothers, this Sunday is MOTHER’S DAY!
I will be OFF cooking duty and instead I’ll be celebrating with my bootiful mama at our traditional Mother’s Day brunch. Load my plate with all the crab, oysters and steamed shrimp, please. You can bet I’ll be Snapping that!
If you’re a SLC local and forgot to order your flowers ahead of time from this awesome florist (Pam is so great!) and are in need of a last-minute floral stunner, may I suggest you head to my go-to flower gifter shop: Orchid Dynasty.
That’s where I got the beautiful beauty at the top of this post. Nothing stuns more than orchids and they last FOREVER! I speak from experience.
More News!
You know how Marie Kondo made everyone want to clean out their closets and get.organized.now with her best selling book???!?? Well my friend Courtney of the Project 333 Capsule Wardrobe Movement (featured in Real Simple mag and O Magazine) is taking her minimalist fashion project on the road.
Courtney is one of the most inspiring people I know. She’s a mentor. Her words change lives. And she’s one of the best listeners I know, making her advice all that more meaningful.
She’s already been to Boston, London, and California and is now coming to Salt Lake City next Wednesday, May 11 to share all of her wisdom and beliefs on how to get more simplicity, joy and love out of life, and help get to the truth of why we all feel like more is better. Or is it?
So come and join us and have all of your questions answered one on one. Let’s get organized! And together let’s get rid of all the “stuff” weighing us down. This is going to be great.
Get your tix here. And if you’re in the midwest, check out her future appearances here.
And then, let’s get into this week’s list of Friday Faves!
I keep saying it, but Jimmy Fallon, watch out! Just another day in the car with my #girlcrush, and minute 2:21 BLEW MY MIND. Finally and how weird what lyrics are and where they come from. I mean seriously. I LOVE THIS (check out how much I love it on Snapchat @foodiecrush).

LOVE LOVE LOVE as always – I now approx 1000 tabs open and am going on a shopping spree. My hubby always jokes that it should be called ‘Phi’s Friday Shopping list’ because I always find the coolest things through your Friday Faves and end up buying things and showing him. Also – totally inspired to go read more about this minimalist wardrobe!
