Happy Friday friends!
In This Post
I’ve had an amazing past two weeks of compiling Friday Faves from the road and so this week I’m feeling reinvigorated, energized and a little bit behind after getting myself ahead so I could detach myself from work to spend some super great quality time.
It was totally worth it. And on the flip side, I’m so happy to be back in the office saddle.
One major event that happened as a result of the trip: I’m a Shake Shake virgin no more! Read here about the rise of this super fab burger chain.
My two trips were polar opposite of one another. Carmel = chill, lazy, totally relaxing. Washington DC = walk, go, see it all. Both = awesome.
I had so many people Snapchat, Tweet, Instagram and even e-mail me (with all these other apps I feel like e-mail is going the way of the telephone booth!) asking for dining, doing and staying suggestions for both Carmel, CA and especially Washington DC, and if I’m going to be doing recap posts of my trips.
You ask and I deliver. Look for the recaps soon. Until then, here are are few pics from the DC leg. Check out a few pics from my Carmel visit in last week’s Friday Faves.
But until I get then, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves! Hop on crouton.

Bobbing for Kebabs (and Pinning Them, Too)
I’ve been all about the shish and the kebab and the skewers of late, with recipes for Pork Souvlaki a few weeks ago and Hawaiian Chicken Skewers this past Monday. I’m not alone in my piercing obsession. Check out these recipes I pinned this week.

Darn…while in DC you should have stopped by Pork Barrel BBQ. It is the best BBQ in the DC area. The creators of the place worked for a past Senator and took their idea and flavors to the TV show “Shark Tank.” Next time you are there, I highly recommend it. They are in the Del Ray suburb between DC and Ole Town Alexandria on the Virginia side. In the same building, they also contribute to a sushi bar (sorry don’t know the name of it) and a hamburger joint called “Holy Cow.” Holy Cow beat our Five Guys in a March Madness burger show down.

The French fry and the barger on your featured photo, it’s really alluring me, and your multiple recipe will may really delicious, But the Balsamic chicken make me crazy to test right away… if you aware that stored food cannot stay fresh for long. There are many food storage models such as Tupperware, aluminum foil and plastic wraps but none of these can store food for more than a few days. In such cases, the best option is to use a vacuum sealer for food storage. learn why and how… http://www.vacuummania.com/top-9-best-home-vacuum-sealer-for-food-expert-review/
