Hello friends and happy first week of November Friday!
In This Post
Don’t kill me when I say this, but I am so ready to start preparing, planning and plotting for the holidays. And don’t kill me even more when I say I CANNOT WAIT for snow. Bring it all.
I got all giddy this week darting from Zurchers to Target then to HomeGoods to stock up on next year’s Halloween decorations at 75% off, but I couldn’t resist the temptation of already jumping on board and going whole price for Christmas decor. I’m a sucker for packaging anything paper so this holiday line from my favorite L.A. paper store that’s featured in Target is making me all the more ready to wrap and roll.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Turkey day is mere weeks away so let’s savor it now. Who doesn’t love a food feast afterall?
Lots went on this week with the news of this new Hollywood coupling (I KNEW IT!) and the debate rages on whether a hot dog can actually be called a sandwich? All I know is both Gwen and Costco dogs ROCK!
But enough about all that, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves.
This simple snack. Make it!
If you’re thinking about cozying up to the oven this weekend, BAKE THIS!
A new day for chicken fingers!
My favoritest 5 easy dinners for every night of the week.
It’s never to early in the season for these.
My latest goal in the kitchen? Meal prep and batch cooking. This is getting me started.

Move over Venice, Italy! This little town doesn’t have roads, only canals! How quaint.
Because it’s one more way to show off your personality, I actually went to the post office an bought $50 worth of a variety of stamps. Just to write letters, not even holiday cards! One of my goals for 2016 is to write more letters (this service looks totally cool), but I’m starting now. Charlie Brown stamps came home with me and the Circus too, but I wish I’d seen the tomato harvest. There’s just something about stamps. Find thank you notes like mine here and here.
A look inside: Why we’re not always happy for our friends successes.
While the rest of us are clamoring to start and rise, this is why this social media star is calling it quits.
on the flip side…
A friend on Facebook told me about this new sharing app, and I think it’s going to be FUN, FUN, FUN. She says, “It’s like Instagram had a baby with Vine and invited Snapchat to be the godmother.” You’ll find me there and everywhere under the username foodiecrush.
And if you’re on Snapchat, pop over and see me in and out of the kitchen too. Follow me at foodiecrush there, too.
