Happy November Friday Faves.
Well, I survived Halloween and the mass of trick-or-treaters who were stomping to my door. Yep, I had a grand total of ONE trick-or-treater. That’s what happens when you live on a hill. But since this wasn’t my first spook-out rodeo, I bought just one small bag of candy (Reese’s PB Cups, naturally) so there aren’t too many temptations to lure me into eating. I did have one peanut butter cup and of course, what happened? I had a hell-devil of a toothache so I lived on Advil and Tylenol for a week, and then yesterday I had a root canal. It sucks getting old. Okay, so it probs was a coincidence and the candy didn’t actually cause the ache. But I think I’ll be holding off on sampling the sweets for some time to come.
Instead, I’ll just stick to our regularly scheduled diet of soup for dinner—yep, our soup streak is still going strong! My husband made my Chicken Tortilla Soup and the leftovers have been divine. The hint of cinnamon in the broth is so frigging fabulous. You have to put it on your soup recipe list. Do it! Also, don’t forget it’s Daylight Savings this weekend. Cheers to brighter mornings!
With that, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves. Enjoy!
