Hey hey and happy Friday.
Belief. Hope. Wonder. Comfort. I’m not a particularly religious person, but I do think there’s something else out there. Something that guides each of us. So, do I believe in aliens? No. But the Mars moon landing yesterday was pretty cool. So cool, we celebrated with the one-day-only Krispie Kreme Mars themed donuts. Had to do it.
The other day my daughter asked me if I’d seen her notebook for scripting. Scripting? Uh-oh. Another term I’m totally out of touch with. Maybe it’s time to give in to Tik Tok? Nah. I’ll just have a constructive conversation instead.
So I asked, “What’s scripting?”, realizing I was about to look like the middle-aged mom I am instead of the MILF I used to be. “Scripting is manifesting.” Having a positive outlook to make your wishes come true. Okay. Got it. I know and like where this is going.
Here’s the gist taken from this very comprehensive post:
“Simply put, scripting is a technique where you describe your life as if you already had what you wish to manifest.
-
- Do you want a new job? Describe how your first day at that particular job feels like.
- Do you want to manifest a six-figure salary? Describe how it feels to be making six-figures. What are you doing with all that money?
- Do you want to manifest your soul-mate? Describe how life with them looks like. Write down how your honeymoon was.”
My husband often manifests new work projects. My friend Kim is a firm believer in the New York Times Bestseller The Secret. And yep, my daughter actually has manifested one of her crushes to start Snapchatting her. Winning right there!
I agree with them. I believe we each have a unique power within us that influences our outside world. Joy, positivity, and helping others all comes back to us, enriching our own lives.
So this week, I’m going to script a few things myself. Make it happen. Because if I don’t, who will?
But first, let’s get to this week’s list of Friday Faves. XOXO
