Happy Friday friends!
Since last Friday, we had dinner in a yurt (so.much.FUN!), celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary (I KNOW! How did that happen?!) and watched my Smudge’s junior high school basketball team make school history by scoring the most points in a game ever (and she probably had 20 of them, but then, who’s counting?!!?)
We also donned our cow outfits and Santa hats and coerced customers at Smith’s Marketplace to donate over 250 gallons of milk for the Utah Food Bank. These girls…I love that they want to do this every year. They are THE BEST! (and you can donate a gallon of milk to your own local food bank here!)
This week I’m all about nose to the grindstone and getting my ducks in a row because the holidays are here and I WILL NOT be working over this year’s vacation and that’s for sure!
This holiday is predicted to be the most traveled in U.S. history and I will be one in the ranks. Long lines. Cranky kids. No leg-room. That’s right folks, hooray for the holidays!
But! ‘Tis the season to look past the pain and rejoice in the gain! Once we get through our bouts of trains, planes and automobile mishaps, time spent with family and/or discovering new adventure will surely make it all worth it.
Right? Please tell me I’m right. Because I have a 23 hour plane ride coming up and I don’t need anyone dragging me down!
That’s why this week’s Friday Faves has a theme, and one that so many of us will be able to relate to.
But before you hop on down to discover what’s up in this week’s faves o’ the Friday, a few little reminders to round out your week:

- Two new recipes hit the blog this week: This epic pasta salad fit for a crowd any time of the year and this soup with a surprise crunchy topper. So good!
- And, I won’t be home to go to this, but I really truly think you should! She is my favorite.
And also, happy Hanukkah too!
