Hello and happy Friday my friends!
Now that President’s Day vacation is over I must say, 4-day work weeks are the best, and they are the worst. I’m all about having that extra day to get the lingering stuff struck off my to-do list and sleep in for a few more minutes, and hey, Walking Dead viewing marathons don’t happen unless you let them! Is it bad to admit that OH YES WE TOTALLY DID spend fourteen straight hours last Sunday vegging out and goring out on our favorite family show? Well, with no school on Monday we unintentionally (sort of?) let ourselves get totally sucked in and loved every gross minute of it.
The worst part of a 4-day week? Catching up on all the work I didn’t do because I was in a zombie haze. Some days you just need to let something else inhabit your mind, you know? Even if it is a zombie apocalypse that makes you feel like a zombie afterward.
To get over it I’ve been working OUT of the house at my fave club for lunch so not to be distracted by the little things that continually distract me. Like entering season 7 of said zombie land. And the jury is in that a Cobb Salad is STILL a Cobb even without bacon (like I like it above.)
Today I am in Sacramento, CA, far from the new snow that hit my beloved SLC in the past two days and hopefully dodging the rain that’s tormented Cali for the past few weeks while hitting farmstands and orchards along the way. If you want to see what I’m up to, follow along on Instagram and Instagram stories for some behind the scenes peeks, and hopefully some delicious Sacramento produce too.
But enough about me, let’s talk Friday Faves and start dishing on the weekend!
Must. make. this. burger.
My absolute favorite pasta flavors in one big bowl.
Hello weekend! This is the ultimate tater-tot breakfast bake.
And then these biscuits. Now I’m craving sausage gravy.
This dressing looks amazing and could go on so many things.

Did anyone catch the juicy premiere of Big Little Lies on Sunday night? It’s looking like a goodie!
We do this every year –> download your Oscar bingo game here.
Funny! These Oscar-nominated actors have all slummed it doing food commercials. Even Leo had to start (or end) somewhere!
and…
Apparently this is what 60% of us think about the Oscars.
The cast of Love Actually is reuniting! This is going to be good.
We are FINALLY caught up with the Walking Dead, or at least up to this new season. It took some serious dedication but I still don’t know if I’d ace this quiz.
My best friends from college have all ageed that at the end of our days, we should probably just build a commune and all live together. This is a great idea for the new commune.
I’ve been pondering getting an instant printer for a while, this list might help me decide.
so that then…
I take so many dang Instagram photos that just sit on my phone when I should do this with them instead.
Some people get flowers for Valentine’s Day. I got a tree, and I love it! And now I need a pot to put it in and this one looks about right.
Dreaming of spring and vacations, so naturally this caught my eye.
and…
Apparently these spots are where the insiders go to find and book travel deals. Who can vouch for them?
I would undoubtedly have dreams of the beach each night if I had these sheets.
and…
Now that I can’t wear flip flops thanks to my dang achilles tendon issue, I need a sandal with arch = heel that’s comfortable too. I ordered these, tried them on, and man! They’re not only cute but comfy too! Whew.
plus…
I really like the spin on traditional from this new swimsuit collection — particularly this one and this one.
I still haven’t shopped at H&M Home, but these make me want to.
Just like LBDs, you can never have too many tops like this one.
Recipes I Pinned This Week
I’ve seen so many healthy, easy dinner recipes lately (and aren’t those exactly the kinds of recipes we need to help us survive another hectic winter workweek)? Here are three in particular that I’ve pinned this week that I think you should pin too.

What’s low-carb, gluten-free, dairy-free, super easy, and amazingly delicious? This sheet pan shrimpy dinner winner!
Green Goddess Lasagna
This green veggie-studded lasagna is laced with a green chili enchilada sauce. Need I really say more?

Hi Ann, I got them on Overstock.com :) I love them too. They’re from last September so not sure if they still have them in stock or not. :)
Heidi, so glad you are enjoying our beautiful city in sunshine today! It’s been a brutal February for us, but we’re loving the break of clear skies and hope you are, too! If you need a quick, healthy bite downtown, I recommend the kale salad at Lowbrau – with roasted tomatoes, marcona almonds, jicama, and a lemon-yogurt vinaigrette. It’s my favorite salad in town! Enjoy your time in Sacramento!!
Thank you so much! It was a great time, that area is just so beautiful! We didn’t make it to Lowbrau, but sounds like I need to add it to the list for next time.
Yes we are going to have to live in a commune! Love Mother Omega
Those Target sheets only come in TWIN size ?????
