Hello and Happy Friday Faves!
This week has been to and fro and back again with travel from Salt Lake City to Minneapolis to meet up with my Nourished Planner partner Alexis to work on content for the 2019 edition of the Nourished Planner (yes! aready!!!) and then off to Cinncinati where I met up with Kroger executives and the Kroger Influencer Council (hey! that’s me!) to learn about new products you’ll be seeing in Kroger stores and marketing ideas and input from us cooks in the kitchen and our community like you. So if there’s anything you’d like me to share with those at Kroger, just let me know and I’ll get your message to them.
And now, today, I am home and so happy to be back with my little family and our pups, and am relishing in the fact that my work travel days are suspended ’til after Labor Day, and man, does that feel good!!! Don’t get me wrong, there’s so much value I get from trips with my partnered brands and fellow influencers, but knowing I will be home and can dig into work and family and my garden (!) is really thrilling for me. Do you travel for work? What are your secrets to managing it all? Email me and tell me because we can all use all the help we can get.
Speaking of travel, it was a few weeks ago when I was working on this travel-centric list of Friday Faves that I discovered today is the 7th birthday for Friday Faves. And so, I asked you to send in a few of your faves to share here too. Thanks so much for the vivacious response and I’m sharing some of them straight from you below.
So on that note, get your clicking finger ready and get ready to bookmark, because we are digging in and get favoriting this Friday!
What Went Up This Week…
This week’s culinary creations included:
- Avocado Grapefruit and Fennel Salad because these ingredients are always a winning combination, especially when salty parmesan and a mustardy-grapefruit-white balsamic vinaigrette come to the party as well. This recipe’s from the new cookbook Simply Citrus by Marie Asselin of the food blog Food Nouveau, and you guys, you need this book — it’s so awesome!
- Killer Garlic Fries with Rosemary whether you make these fries in the oven or in the air fryer, these fries are undeniably good, and you should definitely #treatyoself.
Okay, so let’s get going with Friday Faves, because this week you beautiful people shared some of YOUR favorite things!
The Rock’s message to his newborn daughter is the sweetest thing Aimee R has read all week.
Tony says, “Today I am looking forward to being able to drink a cup of coffee to the last drop without having to reheat it. I always start my Friday mornings reading Friday Faves, so thanks for making it so great!” Here’s to more coffee!
Alyssa D just saw this movie and said she LOVED it.
Ana thinks you all need to know about these, and so do I. Can I adopt one?
Phi does double favorite-ing with her fave lipstick—”its the only lipstick that is actually moisturizing and stays on all day” plus this book you need to read now.
Speaking of reading, Susan S is can’t put this book down.
Jessie T just started cooking from this brand new cookbook and is in love.
Callie W is so excited that this show is back.
Megan G can’t get enough of this SPF.
Olivia M swears by this mascara.
Cute Kate is addicted to this granola (from one of my favorite friends who she shares the same name BTW!)
and….
She loves this foundation. Dewy!
And here are a few of my favorite things from the week:
This salmon is a must for your meal prep dinner plan.
Can’t wait to make this gorgeous spring salad. #strawberriesinsaladsforeva

Natalie loves these sweet treats.
Christine says this recipe, “goes with absolutely everything and never fails.” Get it.
I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite cocktail this summer.
And speaking of refreshing tipples, rosé season is HERE (yes, way), and I seriously need to get my hands on some of this. And this rosé chocolate bar (!) too, for that matter.
But first…Mexican food!
4 recipes I want to make for Cinco de Mayo:
