Happy Friday friends!
In This Post
As will happen this time of year, it’s all about the farmers markets.
Fresh fruit. Veggies. They’re all just starting to hit their stride and we’re taking full advantage.
Last weekend we escaped the heat of the valley and headed to Park City’s Park Silly Sunday Market. More of an art festival featuring local artisans than a spot to purchase your weekly bounty, Park Silly is an event in its own right.

I can’t start my weekend off without saluting their (in)famous DIY bloody mary bar featuring local spirits by Five Wives Vodka, straight from my own hometown of Ogden, UT. If you know anything about Utah history, you’ll get the 5 wives reference. And no, we aren’t all polygamists even if most of the male population does indeed wish that it was a legal habit.
Regardless, it’s all what is oh-so right about summering at the market.
But enough about last weekend, let’s get into this one by starting off with this week’s list of Friday Faves.
This creamy zucchini noodles recipe is THE low carb fit-foodie comfort food without feeling like a fit-foodie.
Because my pooch needs a homemade treat too.
I made souvlaki this weekend, but wish I’d gussied it up like this recipe instead.
Have you checked your cilantro for parasites lately? Ew.
Vodka on my bed mattress? Only when I spill. 10 genius cleaning hacks.
America’s 10 best cities for pizza. Really? Miami?
Prosciutto or sriracha ice cream? I’m thinking this may have gone a little too far.
While I was at Park Silly Market, I found the BEST artisan with jewelry that is simple, gold and totally me. I had to have the long gold chain with black tourmaline wrapped with gold foil above. I am in love. And you can be too when you follow the artist here and here.
No wonder I’m so tired, I’m doing too much multi-tasking. 4 ways to retrain your brain when consumed with information overload.
A very sweet read: Where do the memories go when you lose your childhood home?
Find out how much money you’d have if you’d invested it in the stock market instead of this.
on that note…
I went to Sephora and spent way too much money, but man was it fun. One purchase I am absolutely loving for disguising the bags under my eyes is this eye cream. I think it’s actually helping.
I wear it under my favorite concealer (in 2.5). I tried Bobbi Brown, but it just didn’t cut it for me. Do you have a fave?
The best summer hair care products. I’m loving Living Proof. Have you tried any of the others?
How to create magazine worthy photos with your iPhone.
A friend and I were talking about this very thing last night over a glass of wine as we both heard our phone alerts dinging and tried our best to ignore it and focus on the conversation at hand which was: We’ve both had issues with our husbands pointing out we like our phones, and thus our jobs, more than them. Sometimes, yes but knowing they’re feeling ignored, I need to put these tips into action pronto. How to get out of your inbox and into your life.
Okay, one last purchase I made at the market. This handmade cross-body bag is double duty cool because it’s reversible. I got the basic brown with black but you can get it with fringe too.
Why 90-minute chunks is just the right time.
10-20-30. How to get fit and not lose your mind. Or your intention. I’m trying it.
Oh Snap! and BURN! When—and how—being sassy on social media works.
To !! or not!…Words—and punctuation—we should and shouldn’t be using online. Or maybe we just should?
We bloggers love to hear from you, good and bad, really we do! But sometimes, you guys really make us laugh with comments like these.

What I Pinned This Week
Next weekend I’m heading out of town with my best girls from college and am in charge of cooking it up for Tapas Night. Here’s what’s going on the menu.
Spanish Style Lamb Meatballs with Spicy Tomato Sauce
While Laura’s recipe calls for lamb, my friends are going to prefer something tamer. I’m going with a mix of beef and pork. That should keep them satiated.
Spanish Tortilla With Ham
This layered egg and potato pie is perfectly poised to make an appy appearance, but I’m thinking of using chorizo instead of ham.
Simple Patatas Bravas
There’s nothing like actually traveling to a place to make you inspired to come home and recreate your mouth’s memories.
And yes of course, I’ll be creating a brand new sparkling Sangria recipe to swill it all down with. Do you have a favorite to share?
Happy weekending, friends!

Yeah ! You made it to the Silly Market! How amazing is the bloody mary bar? A good friend and neighbor runs it. One of these days we’re going to have to go together! Miss your face!! xo

Love your list as usual and as for an undereye concealer I also didn’t like Bobbi Brown’s even though I like many of her other products by MAC’s Pro Longwear eye concealer is the BEST! I also love Living Proof – what a fabulous line and helps keep my hair straight even during South Florida’s Summers – Cheers:)

Great post. Thanks for the iPhone links and the cilantro warning. I’m glad I grow my own!

I love the links and I agree…I am not sure what they were thinking with that flavour of ice cream. Sephora is place where it is way too easy to spend too much!

Loved the link about taking quality pictures with your iPhone. I use mine a lot and like finding new apps to help me take a great picture.
