Hey man (and Father’s Day dads!), welcome to Friday Faves!
Father’s Day is Sunday. It will be the second year I don’t get to celebrate with my dad who died last year. Father’s Day is also always right around his birthday so it’s a bit of a double whammy. Make that a triple since he passed away on Mother’s Day. So many meaningful dates to remember him by, as if I could ever forget him :). But! I WILL be celebrating my husband with our daughter, which puts a brighter light on things. I can pretty much nail what my man is going to request for dinner: His famous grilled rib-eye steak (bought from our favorite local farm and butcher) with buttery, garlicky mushrooms, grilled corn (because corn is his love language), a baked potato (or maybe this potato salad), and a Caesar salad with my homemade dressing (plus cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocado because that’s just how he rolls.) Sound good to you? Me too. Let’s eat!
But first, let’s dig into this week’s list of Friday Faves. Enjoy!
