Hey hey and happy Friday!
Like millions of others, I spent the better part of 2020 ignoring, or at least putting off, my preventive care visits. And I wasn’t alone. But, no more!
This week was my stop-avoiding-that-doctors-appointment reckoning. There’s just too many unknown forces out there that can affect my life and livelihood. Why would I ignore the basic things I actually have a small nugget of control over to prevent whatever I can?
Pap smear. Mammogram. Dentist. Eye doctor. Botox. Check, check, check! I filled each day this week with one appointment to cross off my list, wiping out all of the health care maintenance I’d neglected for too long.
Here we are in the first week of March and I am healthy, tuned up, and ready to make my appointment for the vaccine, which comes Monday, when Utah says anyone over 50 can schedule their vaccine appointment. I.AM.READY! Bring it on 2021.
What have you been putting off? Take it from me…simply take that first step and then just do it. You owe it to yourself not to wait, because then a whole year flies by and you’re still in the same groundhog day you were in before—or worse.
Speaking of groundhog day, I think that varmint is up in the night because it sure feels like spring in my mind and my bones. Ah! Vitamin D at last! That’s why even though the store bought tomatoes are pretty much crap right now, I’ve been eating caprese toast nearly every day to prove that warmer feels are on their way.
But first, let’s get to this week’s list of Friday Faves. XO and JUST DO IT.
Have you forgotten how to hang out? Yep, I think I have.

Happy to see you are getting all your appointments in a row! Women need to take care of themselves too. Women tend to take care of everyone first and themselves last. Don’t skip the vaccine, it’s very important. Like your blog whole bunches. J.
