Hello and happy Friday!
It’s spring, and the blooms on the trees and sprouting from the ground are proving it. Is it weird to fall in love with flowers? Because I have, and I’ve fallen hard. I’ve always loved flowers. Outdoors. Indoors. Flowers, flowers, give me flowers everywhere.
Lately I’ve been finding so much joy in buying one or two grocery store bouquets and re-making them into something that looks like some of my favorite flower-arranging artists. Having a few hostessing duties like bridal showers brunches and Easter dinners (my au gratin potatoes above are always the BEST!) have given me the perfect excuse to keep my new flower-making happiness habit going strong.
I pretty much just try and emulate some of my favorite Instagram florists like Soil and Stem and Jannel Ford who if you’re into blooms, you should follow too. Or, if you want to try your hand at arranging, these are some good tips to get you started or check out Nicole’s online class.
Also, here’s the update on my progress following last week’s Friday Faves where I professed my intention of keeping true to my new mantra: When I’m working, be at work. When I’m not working, stop working. And guess, what? It’s working!
This week I kept a time log of where my hours (and minutes) were spent and it helped me be more accountable. I kept my head down and slogged through duties I tend to put off and finished up a project that’s been looming heavy on my schedule. Doing so made me free to enjoy my daughter’s basketball games, golf dates with my husband, and time to cook dinner just for fun.
My productivity journey is far from over, but I’m making progress and sticking with it. How about you?
But enough about me, let’s get into this week’s Friday Faves.

Just a comment about selling items using Facebook vs Craigslist- I have sold everything from fifth wheels and bobcat skids to extra perennials in my yard and everything in between. I find Facebook is super easy, less scammers and more activity than anything I’ve tried to sell on Craigslist.
Maybe it’s the area I live in(front range north of Denver) but it’s well seen by anyone who has Facebook. Whereas Craigslist you must go and search.
