The flavors of fresh peach pie is made into a creamy, sippable smoothie made with almond milk, that’s perfect for healthy breakfast, dessert or snack.

This year I’m partnering with AlmondBreeze to create and share recipes using almond milk. We’ve traversed the course of sweet to savory and we’re finishing things off with a classic reason to use almond milk: it’s smoothie time folks!
But let’s be clear, smoothies aren’t just for breakfast anymore. Especially when you have the flavors of homemade peach pie in the mix.
We’ve been hitting the farmers market hard these days. It’s seems like it’s always that way thanks to our short growing season and the realization that before long our mountain air will be throwing down blizzards of snow instead of sweltering rays of sunshine. At least that’s what I’m counting on thanks to the good old Farmer’s Almanac. Make it so!
These peach pie smoothies don’t actually contain pie. Although that would be pretty darn good, but it would sort of negate the healthy aspect of this recipe. Or would it?
I’ll let you be the judge.

About the Recipe
Smoothie making is pretty simple so we won’t drone on about the intricacies, of which there are few.
I used fresh peaches for this recipe because they’re perfectly ripe and sweetened by the end of summer season. If you choose to use frozen peaches, please do! Simply use ½ cup ice instead of the full amount.
I used Almond Breeze AlmondMilk Original for this recipe. It’s naturally sweetened and gives the smoothie its sippable thickness and makes this smoothie soy and lactose free.
Honey sweetens the smoothie pot. Add more or less depending on your peaches. Almond extract gives this drink it’s peach pie flavor. It’s really one of my favorite parts of the drink.
While I didn’t include it in this recipe, if you want to up your fiber, add ⅓ cup of old fashioned oats to the blender mix and give it a whirl. The kids will slurp it up like no tomorrow. And so will you.

If you make this recipe, please let me know! Leave a comment below or take a photo and tag me on Instagram or Twitter with #foodiecrusheats.

I took the survey:) We made these smoothies for breakfast this morning! Delicious! My daughter has a dairy allergy, so Almond Breeze is a staple in our house. I had everything on hand and it was fun to surprise her with a great treat!

I took the survey, but not necessarily because of the gift card incentive. (Although, I wouldn’t turn it away! Ha!) I took the survey, because I love your website Heidi! If my two cents can potentially assist you in making modifications to make your website, just that much better…well, you can count me in! I adore your website! Everything from your personality, to your, ‘tell it like it is’ candor. (Coming from a brutally honest person herself, I can relate!) I enjoy your sarcasm, (again- relatable!). I get a kick out of hearing about your lovely family. From your husband, to your children! (The human, as well as the furry kind!) You post great recipes, & I really dig your Friday Favorites! Let’s face it…we all live super hectic lives! So if we can obtain a recommendation from a trusted resource, then that helps make life just a bit easier! (Believe me, you ARE a trusted resource!) I love how ‘real’ & relatable you are! I just really get a kick out of your stories…everything from your triumphs, to your woes, to the ‘you just gotta laugh’ moments, & everything else in between! I too have just one child, a daughter in fact, & I delight in pictures & stories regarding your, not so little anymore) precious, ‘Smudge’! Anyway, sorry for being so long winded. I actually rarely leave comments on any sites, but it felt good to share my admiration for you & your website. I love to cook, (& eat- DUH!), & so I read a lot of food blogs daily. But you are in my top two! Your website & How Sweet It Is are both top notch & tons of fun! Having just said that, it now occurs to me, that you both write with that same fun, sarcastic, funny, frank, flavor! It’s what makes your sites so cool to read! Some blogs post great recipes, but are a snoozefest, when it comes to their posts. So if the recipe title sounds yummy, I will just scroll straight down, to said recipe. But I look forward to reading your posts. Even if the recipe is not up my alley, I will still read your post, because I enjoy your writing & storytelling. I know that was truly one big novel of a ‘comment’, but I wanted you to know how I sincerely feel about your website! :)
Terianne, I think you just made my year. And like you in so many other ways too, I tend to get a little long winded so I APPRECIATE YOUR WORDS!!! Thank you SO much for sharing. And the comparison to Jessica just about rocks my socks off. She’s such a gem. You’ve now become my muse. I’ll be writing and creating with you in mind so thank you so much for sharing that. XOXOXOXO
