Hey, hey, it’s Friday! And the faves!

I know it’s a bit trite to talk about the weather, but holy cow, the Intermountain West is going through it! It’s only March, and ski resorts are closing (never heard of that before), the blooms are going off on the trees (please don’t let it snow now and break all their limbs), and I’ve been walking Zoee in my fave tank top and even getting a little sweaty in this warm weather doing so. And that’s why summer cooking is what I’m craving now. Clean, fresh, easy, and on the grill with one of my go-to pork chop recipes, a burrata salad, to go with testing a new uber-nutritious purple Japanese sweet potatoes recipe coming sometime soon.
I took my first mahjong class this week, and it was so much fun. Yes, it’s hard, and yes, there are a lot of rules, but it was great to use my brain and strategize, but also be at the whim of the tiles. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about playing again! I think I found my new drug because I might be addicted. My friend said I need to try this online mahjong site to bone up on my skills and get better. Oh yes.
My March Madness bracket is looking pretty sad, but I’m still in the hunt with Duke taking the title. I’m keeping an eye on the players projected to go to the NBA next year in hopes one of the top 5 will end up on my Utah Jazz after this year’s massive tankathon.
