Hello and welcome to Friday!

There I go again … I entered the title for today’s email and caught myself typing 2025. “Hello Heidi! It’s March, and you should be firmly in the current year by now, and that year is 2026.” I’m going to blame my error on never writing checks—with the mandatory date—anymore. Or having school assignments to complete by a deadline. Or, maybe it’s because I’m just watching the years fly by. Well, at least I have the season correct with my grill heating up for spring and summer burgers with caramelized onion on my plate as I watch my beloved Utah Jazz tank and the NCAA bball tournies fly high. Because honestly, I’ll bypass the calendar for a great burger any day.
Speaking of, I made my NCAA March Madness tournament bracket predictions. Did you?
Here’s a fun little project for you: How to be a walking calendar genius in minutes.
This blog post reminds me of what blogging was like when it started. I had such a delicious time weaving through Alex’s story and adventures that I found myself yearning for those early blogging days of yore. Coincidentally (or more likely not), the title of her post is trending with plenty of Instagram posts taking a look back at what you were like in the 90s?
Spring reset: How to create habits that stick.

Things that found their way into my shopping cart this week:
- This garden knife I find so totally invaluable for weeding, planting, and digging through roots, so I had to get one for our cabin too.
- This garden tool that someone on Instagram said is a must, so I did.
- This eyeliner I read about for the best cat eye, and it’s waterproof, so hopefully it won’t smear on my droopy upper eyelids. And if it doesn’t, it deserves a prize.
- I had a work date with a friend last week, and she had a new pen I hadn’t tried before, so I immediately ordered a set for myself. I’m such a freak when it comes to pens, and if you like a good line, this is a good one!
I also stopped in Nordstrom Rack and found this maxi dress that will serve me well for pool time AND party time this summer.
Have you ever noticed that once you break the seal and decide to buy one thing, you suddenly find yourself buying more? That’s how I ended up adding these retro running shoes to my haul. So cute right??!!
