Oh yes, you’re going to be working your pucker power soon because I canned pickles and will soon be sharing the recipe!
Happy Friday friends. The weekend has snuck upon us, just like summer has snuck away. Can you believe fall is already kissing our fingertips as we try to grasp those last few minutes of summer’s hues? Ugh. It makes me distraught.
But I have to say, fall is my favorite season of all. I just simply crave the change. And I like that it’s abrupt. All of the sudden the kids are back in school or going away to college. And suddenly the leaves change from green to glorious reds, yellows and oranges. And I can barely wait to break out my fleece sheets for the bed and hug a warm sweater around me in front of the fire
Ahhhh, fall.
I lived in Los Angeles for almost 13 years and the fact that there was no change in seasons was the worst part of living there. And the traffic. But I could ignore that. But I still craved change.
Which brings me to this.

Pinned from Across the WWW
As we’re moving from summer treats to comfort food feasts, there was lots of goodness going on this week around the www. Here are a few recipe faves I pinned this week.
Chickpea Shawarma Sandwich
Vegetarian shawarma IS a thing (think meatless, veggieful-illed pitas with a garlic dill sauce) and bring the extra napkins.
Warm Fingerling Potatoes with Garlic Turmeric Sauce
Another warm potato salad recipe (I shared this one yesterday) but this time with two ingredients too often missing from our cupboards: turmeric and tahini. Let’s fix that, okay?
Strawberry Roll-Ups
