Hello and happy Friday.
Where did the summer go? My daughter and I were driving home yesterday morning from getting a coffee when I had that feel of the cusp of fall. Why? It’s definitely not the temps (because it’s still blazing hot) but the angle of the sun, back-to-school traffic, tawny hues of the browned roadside grasses, and my urge to make comfort food like my grandma’s apple crisp, is twisting the dial of my internal calendar. Because days run into weeks and then into months and my memories do the same, last week I purchased this 3-year diary so I can make quick and simple notes to remember my daily highlights. I LOVE it so far. I’m looking forward to future years when I can look back and say, “Hey! So that’s where summer went.” With that, let’s take a look back at this week and my list of Friday Faves. XO.
