Hello and haaaappy autumnal weekend!
It seems like summer is the time when most people find themselves more and more out and about in the great outdoors. But for me, fall is my prime time. The cooler weather, the creep of slowness, the changing flora, and knowing that this too shall not last, is what leads me to enjoying more time outside every autumn.
So when I read about friluftsliving, I realized I’ve unknowingly taken my love of cozying up the hygge way and moved the idea to the great outdoors. Maybe that’s why it was no coincidence when I listened to this podcast, I realized I too am not only looking at nature differently, but also how much more present and appreciative I can be moving forward and powering through the rest of 2020.
I love being inside, all cozy and safe and where I am in control. But outside…outside is where there’s so much more to see, explore, breathe in, and live.
This weekend, make it a point to get outside, look around, and appreciate the beauty that is. Because a little escapism and a whole lot more appreciation of everything around us is definitely what we need more of these days.
But first, let’s dig into this week’s list of Friday Faves.

Can I just tell you how much I love your mom’s spaghetti with meat sauce. It is really a family favorite. The secret ingredient – cloves make it. I had never heard of adding celery to the sauce either but it works. I do double the amount of ground beef because my family likes the beef! There is no going back to what I was making before. Thanks.
