Hi, hi! And happy Friday.
If life had an answering machine, this would be my current message, “Hello. You’ve reached Heidi’s life. Please hold.”
You feeling me?
I’m still moving haltingly through my days, but hey, at least I’m moving. The extra time in my day that would have been filled with appointments, traveling, shopping, eating out, being social with friends and just doing the daily stuff you do without thinking about it, has created some positive changes too. I’m walking the dogs more, we’re making way more meals at home—that are healthier too—I’ve organized and cleaned and marked tasks off my list, I’m taking more time for myself and family, and I’m really, really focused on bettering my healthy and well being.
Sure, it’s weird not having spur-of-the-moment summer travel plans, hosting a friendly BBQ, and mindlessly wandering the aisles of TJMaxx. While I miss being out, I know that one day I’ll be back but with a greater appreciation for them thanks to what I’ve learned through living this simplified style now.
We’re healthy. We’re safe. We still have jobs. We’re pretty dang happy. And for that, I’m pretty grateful.
But enough about that, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves.
