Hello and happy Friday!
How great does it feel when Friday finally arrives and you actually feel like you’ve checked a few boxes off the to-do list??!! SO GOOD!
My Christmas prep is coming together (yes!) and this week I mixed some co-working time with this incredibly inspiring friend alongside photographing and writing up more new recipes coming your way before the end of the year. One thing I’ve also found myself doing a lot of is re-visiting my archives to make my favorite stand-bys. That’s why in-between new recipe posts I’m also re-sharing recipes on the blog that fit the season, and you may have forgotten about. Hey, half the time I can’t remember what I made last week let alone last year so count this exercise as partly self-serving too!
If you haven’t yet, sign up here to subscribe to emailed recipes plus each week’s Friday Faves delivered straight to you inbox. You can choose to have the emails sent with every new post, or as a weekly digest delivered each Saturday. Remember, this is all totally free and at no charge to you.
I’m still working on checking off my list of 5 things I’m going to do this holiday, and holding myself accountable with one more down and another striking off this weekend! Guess which one is going down next?
- Bake and decorate Christmas cookies with my AliSmudge
- Nighttime walk about downtown SLC at night to see all the lights (it’s seriously the best light show EVA!)
- ✅
Enjoy a leisurely ladies lunch with my mom, then poke around our favorite stores for our annual new Christmas ornament (and take my dad for his favorite Indian food too). - Take time off while my sister and her fam are here to do whatever we please
- ✅
Hook up my old turntable, play my favorite Christmas albums, sit in front of the fire, and enjoy!Note: It only took a few years and some befuddled looks from young sales clerks who had no idea what speaker wire is, but my husband got ‘er done and now I’m spinning vinyl again!
What’s on your holiday bucket list? Make one and check it off!
But enough about me, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves!
