Hello and happy Friday.
Whew. I made it. Just by the skin of my white-and-bright-thank-you-mom-and-dad-for-orthodontia teeth.
Let me agree with those of you who’ve gone through it…Raising a teenager is hard. And naturally, it should be. She’s spreading her wings. Learning to navigate amazing opportunities and new situations on her own. As a parent, letting her do it and make mistakes, becomes a true exercise in restraint. Especially when I have only one child to focus the parental tornado of worry on.
But we keep on cookin’. Figuratively as a family and literally as the recipe maker here at FoodieCrush. Head down, chin up!
A few more Thanksgiving recipes are coming to the blog next week—including a test of which turkey brine is best—shown in the behind-the-scenes shot above—with “easy” at the recipe core.
Each year I aim to fill the holes in the blog’s T-day recipe index and so each year I work on adding to it, both for you and for my own memory of favorite recipes I make. Yes, this blog is a resource for readers, but it’s also a diary for me. So for now, let’s go whole hog Thanksgiving.
But enough about me, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Faves.
