Helllllo holidays, and a ho-Ho-HO!

It’s time to don your baking hat and dress yourself up in your most festive holiday apron that you’re surely ashamed of but can’t possibly give away because your mother-in-law will notice when she shows up Christmas morn. Why all the celebrating? Because the Holiday issue of FoodieCrush mag is here. Break out the champs, it’s time to clink clink and get our merry on.

And while you’re at it, make sure you have your wallet in the pocket of that merry apron because with the launch of this issue comes with some serious holiday moola to add to your holiday stash. Like $250 stash you don’t want anyone else to find.

This issue is, almost, all about desserts because let’s face it, as we thoughtfully celebrate the potential of peace on earth, helping others though philanthropy and good will toward man, it all gets our sweet tooth in a lather. And those cravings are in need of some quenching.

In this issue we travel from oven to mailbox, following the philanthropic path of The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap organized by one and two admirable and totally giving BFF food bloggers.

We then criss cross the globe discovering food traditions of some amazingly talented food bloggers, near and far. These recipes are not your everyday sugar cookie.

Next we set off to meet one of my favorite sweet-treat food bloggers, and shocker alert—HE is a candy maker! Oh how I dream of his caramels but this time he’s surprising us with something new.

By this point you might almost be in need of a root canal, but fear not, the sugar coma has subsided. Let’s eat cheese! We meet a food blogger whose intimate gatherings are simple, thoughtful and totally in demand. I wish I was on her list. Did I mention it includes COCKTAILS! Her husband is sort of a sensei.

Plus, a foodie shopping bonanza, carefully curated by my amazing intern Cute Courtney, who I couldn’t have produced this issue without. Please. Don’t ever leave. At least not until next week when your semester is over. Lucky dog.

A big wahoo to Emily of Jelly Toast Blog for this image on the cover. I mean, who doesn’t want to start baking right this minute? And a huge thanks to everyone who agreed to be in the mag.

We want you to enjoy this new issue, all of us who put it together, food bloggers, writers and designers alike.

But the real kudos go to the food bloggers who day in, and day out are creating new and interesting recipes, photography and sharing stories for you to love and drool over and even once in a while make for your family. So get out there and share their stories and their recipes, because they’re doing it for YOU.

    I love around the world in six desserts. Every Christmas we do Polish Christmas Eve dinner with lots of polish foods and desserts. Its my favorite time of year! I love traditions from other countries!

    I loved the whole issue! If I have to choose one it is Around the World in Six Desserts. I already follow a few of the bloggers but I will sure be checking out the ones that I don’t currently follow. Every recipe looks delicious but I especially enjoyed Alisa Palmer. I just wish her mom’s eggnog recipe was there! Thanks!!

    I love the idea of making Linzer cookie thumbprints. My mom loves linzer tarts so I make them every year but I don’t love rolling and cutting them. This is such a great way to get all the flavor without all the work! Wish I thought of it myself.
