Dark Chocolate Brownies Plus Friday Faves

by heidi on September 27, 2013

In my book, there’s just one rule to live by: The more chocolate the better. These Dark Chocolate Brownies leave me praising the Cocoa Goddesses. Hallelujiah.

It’s kind of like kid treat week, where we started off with Stuffed Pizza Rolls (Did you enter? Today is the last day to enter to win the Weelicious Lunches cookbook) then Apple Pie and Oatmeal Rice Krispie Treats.

And now this. This beyond good brownie.

When the editors of Better Homes and Gardens asked me to do a guest spot on their food blog Delish-Dish, there was just one condition: choose something delicious I wanted to make my own.

But which recipe I made ended up not being of my choice. It was all up to Smudge. Luckily, we both share great taste. In chocolate.

This Dark Chocolate Brownie recipe is a must, must, must try.

The brownie is much more Royal Princess Kate in style than Nicki Minaj. It’s a classic, basic in style but with quality ingredients and you might be asking where’s the nuts? But the truth is: it seriously doesn’t need another. Single. Thing.

After spending a week of no makeup, slathers of sunscreen and sunny days fawning over my Smudge on a family vaca on So. Cal’s Coronado Island, I’m back at it with a jam-packed October staring me straight in the face. So many amazing opportunities coming my way that I’m super excited to share with all of you.

But until then, let’s just lean in a bit shall we? And start with a few Friday Faves to welcome in the weekend.

Good choice, Smudge. Those brownies look like they come with a stipulation: “Must have glass of milk nearby.”

Your brownies are just stunning, Heidi! Pinning them!
